Multimedia Projects Portfolio - German Learner
This was my first multimedia project made, and it was one of my second year projects for my Digital Entertainment degree at the University of Derby.
As this was a group project I will focus on what I did for the project, which was designing and putting the whole project together, researching German, and recording the sounds. The graphics, such as the buttons, were made by my other team member.
THE HOME SCREEN
The user will be prompted to click on the continue button to enter the German learner and start learning some german.
THE MAIN MENU
The user will be prompted to click on a button from the menu on the left hand side to be taken to that respective option.
LEARNING SCREENS
Each learning screen has a number of English words along with the German equivilant. Next to most words is a sound button, when the user clicks a sound button the respective word is spoken out loud in German. Some learning screens have images relating to the respective catagory.
THE QUIZ
When the user clicks the "Quiz" button from the main menu, the user will be taken to the quiz screen.
An example of one of the quiz qusetion screens. The user selects their answer by clicking on the respective answer button.
If the user answers the quiestion correctly then they will be told that they got an answer right...
...and if the user answers the quiestion incorrectly then they will be told that they got the answer wrong.
At the end of the quiz the user will be told of their final score. The user will then be offered the chance to take the quiz again.
USER GUIDE
At any time the user can click on the "User Guide" button to be taken to the user guide screen, which explains how to use German Learner
END CREDITS AND EXIT SCREEN
When the user clicks the "Exit" button, the user will be taken to the end credits screen. Clicking the "Exit" button on this screen will then exit German Learner.
